A rock solid and reliable communication system is an absolute necessity in the industrial off-shore applications, especially for isolated staff.
Consisting of a metal tube, an off-shore wind is a real Farraday cage when the door is closed. Integrated in SEMTETRA® solution form our integrator partner SEMCO MARITIME, specific “ TETRA repeaters for wind turbines TETRA" allow to relay the TETRA signal within offshore wind turbine.
With the RX Standby function, the repeater works only when communication is sought. Thus, the number of repeaters connected on one single TETRA base station is almost infinite, and the consumption is largely optimized more than 30%.
Adapted to the constraints of the offshore world, tested on land, and validated at
sea, SEMCO MARITIME successfully equipped the 102 wind turbines of Walney
offshore windarm in Irish Sea.
